Welcome to the Asian Pacific Islander American information (APIA) website.

As graduate students at the University Of Michigan School Of Public Health enrolled in a seminar whose focus of study pertains directly to the public health issues relevant to the APIA community, we have constructed this site to raise awareness and educate the site’s visitors in current public health topics pertinent to APIAs.

Our website is the result of a collaborative class project that does not endorse any of the literature referenced, nor is the site endorsed by the University of Michigan.  Additionally, the information we have provided on this site is should not be mistaken for any professional health advice.  For any health advice, please consult a licensed physician.

We have attempted to make your learning experience as simple as possible by adding easy to find navigation buttons on every page of our site.  On the left side of the page, you will find buttons that will link you the respective mental health topics.  At the top of the topic pages, you will find buttons in the form of images that will link you to more specific information regarding each topic.  From left to right these buttons are 1) dictionary- definition; 2) home and magnifying glass – overview; 3) globe – importance of the topic; 4) cell phone – resources; 5) stack of books – references; and 6) home icon – link to home page.

Thank you for visiting the APIA Public Health Informational Website.
