Advising:
- Career Advising: Individual career advising is
available, on an appointment basis, for those who need to discuss or
need a little extra help with the job search, resume or cover letter
writing. To make an appointment for one-to-one career advising contact

Job, Fellowship & Internship Postings:
- Career Connection: Students and alumni of the University of Michigan School of Public Health
now link with PublicHealthJobs.net
for identifying national job opportunities. In addition, we maintain
the Career Connection
for job, internship, and fellowship postings that target our students.
Career Resources:
- Job Search Handbook & Other Career Resources: Many resource guides, examples, and career documents are available in the documents library of the Career Connection site.
- Library Materials & Job Bank Books: Job
Bank references give a variety of information about major U.S. cities.
These directories provide addresses and corporate profiles which can
aid you in researching career opportunities. Additionally, you will
find tools, which assist in cover letter writing, resume writing, and
interviewing techniques. Browse our expanded career collection to assist
in landing your dream job.
- Career Workshops: Job-search workshops and
employer presentations/panels are held throughout each semester at SPH
and at the University's Career Center (3200 Student Activities Bldg).
Workshops topics include exploring the job search process, resume writing,
how to target not-for-profit organizations, and networking. For details
and scheduled times, check our calendar of events
on the Career Services website.
Employer Visits:
- Employer Forums and Recruiter Visits: Some recruiters
who represent employers interested in SPH students and alumni visit
the School to interview students for upcoming job openings and provide
information on employment with their agency. Watch your email for upcoming
opportunities.
- Career Fair: The U-M Career Center's annual career fair allows
students the chance to make contacts, talk with 'real world' public
health professionals, and investigate opportunities for internships
and permanent employment. Please check The
