What is CTools?

CTools is an enhanced version of the original UM.CourseTools, combined with UM.WorkTools, UM's research and project management system. Improvements in CTools include individual personal portals (called My Workspace), an interface that can be customized to a user's preferences, and much more.

CTools is part of the SAKAI project, a research and development project for creating open source collaborative tools for use in learning, research, and other types of distributed group work. The SAKAI project involves a consortium of universities from across the country.
