Title:
Database Analyst/Programmer Analyst

Samson Gebreab is a PhD candidate in Spatial Epidemiology at Utah State University. He received an MS in Statistics from Utah State University and an MS in Geographic Information Sciences from Wageningen University, the Netherlands. He is currently the database analyst/programmer at the Center for Integrative Approaches to Health Disparities, University of Michigan. His research interests focus on Geographic Information Systems, Spatial Statistics, Hierarchical Bayesian modeling, Multilevel modeling, and Generalized linear models applications in epidemiological studies. He has co-authored peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals. His recent publications include hierarchical Bayesian modeling of cancer disease, spatial clustering and cluster analysis of birth defects, and visualization of birth defects data using linked micromap and statistical plots.
