Yamini Kesavan received her B.S. in Economics and Biology from the University of Michigan in 2001, and worked in health care consulting for several years before returning to graduate school to study Epidemiology. Yamini attended the Harvard School of Public Health, where she focused on nutritional epidemiology and cancer epidemiology, and graduated in 2008 with a Master of Science in Epidemiology. She subsequently joined the doctoral program in Epidemiology at the University of Michigan and is currently a PhD candidate working with Ana Diez-Roux in the Center for Social Epidemiology and Population Health. Her research focuses on using various longitudinal methods to study the relationship between neighborhood environment and cardiovascular outcomes.
