Kellogg Minority Health Disparities Scholars Program
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation has awarded the Center for the Advancement of Health a grant to coordinate this program. The Center will award postdoctoral fellowships scholars. Scholars must demonstrate interest in examining causes of health disparities by race/ethnicity, gender and income/socioeconomic status; mechanisms and pathways by which structural social, economic, environmental, and educational inequalities in institutional racism affect health; and developing inter-sectoral public policy options to reduce those health disparities. The site facility will provide an interdisciplinary program of mentoring, research, and training, tailored to the scholars' individual research needs and interests. Scholars and site directors will participate in program orientation, health policy symposia, site workshops, and electronic communications coordinated by the Center for the Advancement of Health.
