PSWP promotes interdisciplinary applied research on policy questions and translates this research to policy-makers. In addition, PSWP increases interactions between different schools, between students and faculty, between scholars of different disciplines and reduce the gap between academic and policy applications. The program works with state and federal policy-makers to encompass research on different programmatic approaches to social welfare policy, and to evaluate the success of these approaches.
