The Population, Environmental Change, and Security Initiative
Established in 1996, this initiative is a formal collaboration between the Population Fellows Programs and the Environmental Change and Security Project of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C. It brings together specialists from the highest levels of the governmental, academic, and NGO communities to discuss the implications of environmental, demographic, and health issues for global security. Its products include a scholarly annual report, a working paper series, and international symposia.
