  • Amanda Artis - Amanda Artis is a second-year Master's student in Biostatistics and a member of the Genome Science Training Program. Her primary research focus is in statistical genomics. Her interests include adjustment for multiple comparisons, methods to simultaneously test multiple genetic markers for association, and methods for adjusting for population stratification.

  • Ziqian Geng - Biostatistics Ph.D student. I earned my B.E in systems engineering from National University of Defense Technology (China) and my M.S in applied statistics at Bowling Green State University. My research interest is generating new models and softwares in statistical genetics, and I am currently working with Dr. Sebastian Zoellner for a project focusing on new methods to sub-phenotype psychiatric disorders and other complex diseases.

  • Becky Rothwell I am currently working on simulations in coalescence theory in an effort to understand the migration patterns of European populations. Her other research interests include machine learning methods and chronic pain conditions. In the past, her research has primarily been working with the OPPERA study, a large-scale prospective study to identify the risk factors of temporomandibular disorder.
