**Computer Skills:
Students must be able to perform basic computer operations and Internet functions, watch online videos, use DVD or CD-Rom discs, and printer.
Computer Operation:
- Create folders/directories
- Find, copy, move, rename and delete files
- Run and switch between multiple programs
- Backup and restore files
- Download and install programs
- Raise-lower / mute-unmute computer speaker or headset volume
Use a word processing program (e.g. MS Word) to:
- Create, format, edit, spell check, save, print and retrieve a document
- Cut, copy and paste information within and between documents
- Save a word processing document
Internet:
Use a Web browser to:
- Access the Internet via broadband (DSL, cable or a network interface)
- Locate a specific website (typing URL in the address bar)
- Follow a hyperlink
- Open, print and/or save Web pages to a local disk drive
- Download, save, and upload files
- Create, maintain and manage a list of Web pages (Favorites/Bookmarks)
