Meet
the Students of EHS
The University of Michigan School of Public Health Department of Environmental
Health Sciences program is built around a broad-based multidisciplinary
framework, designed to equip graduates with the scientific, technological,
policy, and management skills needed to address contemporary environmental
and public health issues. Individual specialties allow a focus tailored
to the student's background and interests. The research and academic programs
represent a most rewarding and socially relevant blend of scholarly endeavor.
Meet some current and past students who chose to study Environmental

Program in Industrial Hygiene
Hometown: Southfield, MI
"I like U of M because of its 24-hour library on North campus, its
convenient shuttle-bus system, and its three exercise facilities. I like
the industrial hygiene program because it is taught by world-renowned
faculty who are involved in broad areas of industrial hygiene research.
As graduate students, we have opportunities to work with faculty in their
particular field of research. We also learn a great deal through hands-on
instruction and a high teacher:student ratio. Some of the courses focus
on interpersonal and presentation skills, which are also important for
the industrial hygienist. Overall, the IH program provides a well-rounded
education." |
