Human Nutrition - Career Opportunities

 

 

The field of nutrition is one of the most dynamic, diverse professions. As a nutrition expert, you will be challenged to translate the interdsicplinary knowlege into practice applications. Career opportunities are quite varied. For example, a solid background in the science of nutrition help prepare you to:

  • develop and implement educational programs to improve the nutritional status of the community
  • work in policy planning in public health agencies and health associations,
  • with advanced study in health and nutrition education, design and evaluate wellness education programming for groups, communities, or corporations.
  • with further study in chemistry, work in food science research for ingredient and product development.

A doctoral degree in Nutritional Sciences opens the door to additional positions, such as:

  • University professor or researcher
  • Government scientist or regulator
