Participants have the option of staying in Oxford Residence Hall which is approximately 3 blocks from the School of Public Health. Each room in Oxford is furnished with a twin-size single bed, dresser and telephone that can be used for local calls and calling card calls. Ethernet connections are available in each room. Housekeeping services are provided Monday-Saturday. Linens are changed twice weekly, and fresh towels are provided daily. Shared, but separate men and women bath facilities are located on designated floors. Cable TV is offered in one of the main lounges and coin operated laundry facilities are located in the building. Please note that these rooms are not air-conditioned, but desk fans will be provided upon request.

A block of rooms has been reserved for our program at the Holiday Inn Near the U of M, which features free wireless high speed internet access, computer for guests use in the lobby, cable TV, pay movies, swimming pool, whirlpool, fitness center, restaurant/bar, and room service. Located four miles (approximately a 10 minute commute) from the School of Public Health, the Holiday Inn will provide free shuttle service, and a special schedule will be in place for our program.

A block of rooms has been reserved for our program. When making reservations, please refer to the key phrase "Epidemiology Summer Session" for group rates ($56, 66 & 76 per night). Rates are higher during the Ann Arbor Art Fair week. The Microtel Inn is located approximately four miles from the School of Public Health (approximately a 10 minute commute). A complimentary continental breakfast is provided (bagels, muffins, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, juice & milk). Micro-suites are available. Free local & long distance phone calls. High speed internet & guest computer. The Microtel can provide a free shuttle service. To make reservations, call or fax (a credit card is required).

MEALS
A meal plan is available for our participants. A dining room is reserved just for our program in the Alice Lloyd Residence Hall adjacent to the School of Public Health. Meals include: breakfast and lunch Monday-Friday and dinner Monday-Thursday. It is important to point out that the meals served at Alice Lloyd are menus created specifically for our program. It provides a unique opportunity for this multi-cultured, diverse group to interact with each other as well as the faculty. We encourage you to join in this experience.
To make reservations for a room and/or meal plan, please contact the University's Conference Services beginning March 1, 2008. Alternatively you can call Conference Services at (734) 764-5297 or email them at conferences@umich.edu. Please make sure to indicate that you are a participant in the Graduate Summer Session in Epidemiology. Payment is made directly to Marketing and Conference Services. Please note lodging and meal plan registration will only be available until the Wednesday prior to the session beginning on Sunday.

Due to space limitation in the dining room, those who wish to purchase a meal plan only should do so in advance of their arrival through the housing link provided.

PARKING ON CAMPUS
Parking on campus, especially near the School of Public Health area, is extremely limited. Public transportation is recommended as opposed to bringing your own vehicle or a rental car. Parking provisions are available from the Summer Session, cut please be aware that this will require walking from the University Hospital area which is an approximate 10 minute walk, mostly up hill.
