About Us

The Center for Public Health and Community Genomics, directed by Toby Citrin, JD and co-directed by Sharon Kardia, PhD, was formed in September 2001 through a cooperative agreement between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Association of Schools of Public Health. The Center for Public Health and Community Genomics also receives funding from the National Institutes of Health. The Center for Public Health and Community Genomics is housed within the University of Michigan School of Public Health with close ties to the University's Life Sciences and Society Program.
