Welcome to Voices
and Views. The idea of creating this newsletter was voiced by the
community partners in the project, Communities of Color and Genetics
Policy. They articulated the desire of the participants in community
dialogues to keep in touch with the progress of the project, share experiences
with other communities, follow the track of policy recommendations,
and learn how the genetics issues they discussed are being dealt with
by policy makers. The newsletter is one way that people who have engaged
in dialogues can remain as active participants in the project long after
their local dialogue series has been completed.
While this newsletter
is prepared by the project's support staff, it needs to be owned by
the communities who make up the vital center of the project. Let us
know what you'd like to read, what you'd like to share, and who should
be on our mailing list. See Contact the
Project for information on how to contact us.
Below is a table
that shows how to navigate through the newsletter issues. You can choose
to look at a whole newsletter as it was published, or you can look at
selected stories according to several themes. Simply click on a link
to view the story and photos. On each page, you will be able to navigate
"back" to the menu of newsletters and themes.
Sincerely,
Toby Citrin,
Principal Investigator
