Subcommittee
Committees will be chaired by a Board member and there will be at least one other Board member on each Committee. Committee Chairs will report on committee activities at each Board meeting. An HMP faculty or staff member will be assigned to work with each Committee.
Research/Practice Linkages Committee
Identifying critical issues in the field and linking with faculty research expertise.
Developing products that link practice/research expertise.
- Identifying ways that faculty/alumni can learn and help each other.
- Executive in residence program

Development Committee
The Development Committee works with the GLC and SPH Development staff to identify and grow private funding resources for the Center. Typical committee activities include:
- Review and advise on annual fund communications to alumni
- Identify potential corporate and private donors for GLC events and programs
- Serve as a role model by making a personal contribution to support the Center financially

Lifelong Learning Committee—Advancing Careers of HMP Alumni
The Lifelong Learning Committee helps the GLC identify and develop educational resources for alumni. Goal: Pilot some ideas in Spring 2008. Typical Committee activities include:
- Providing insight on topics of interest to alumni, such as symposium for entrepreneurship
- Serving as "beta testers" on pilot products or services
- Review opportunities for activities alumni will value, such as coaching, mentoring, re-entry program and executive development
- Work with the Career Development Committee of the HMP Alumni Board

Women's Leadership Committee
The Women's Leadership Committee assists the GLC in the development and implementation of activities that promote leadership development of women HMP students. Typical committee activities include:
- Identify the gender-related issues that affect women alumnae and ways to assist in career advancement.
- Assist current HMP students through the Women in Healthcare Leadership student group.
- Assisting faculty in addressing gender-related issues, such as identifying women leaders to speak in classes on specific topics
- Supporting the development of case studies that feature women leaders
- Identifying next steps after the March, 2008 conference: Women in Healthcare and Bioscience Leadership
