About
the Program
The
Executive Master's Program
in Health Management
and Policy at the University
of Michigan is a non-residential
program with a unique
format that lets you
continue working while
pursuing the Master
of Health Services
Administration (MHSA)
or the Master
of Public Health (MPH)
degree.
Without
interrupting your professional
employment you are able
to acquire the information
and skills you need to
assume a leading position
in the provision of health
services and the promotion
of public health in your
community.
Originally
called the On Job/On
Campus (OJ/OC) Program,
the program takes
22 months to complete.
During that period
students attend 12
intensive four-day
weekend class sessions
in Ann Arbor. Classes start
on Thursday at 8:30 and
end on Sunday at 2 pm.
Formal classroom work
is combined with on-line
instruction and interaction
to facilitate the completion
of readings, exercises
and projects during the
periods between class
sessions on campus.
The program is offered every two years in even numbered years. The next cohort will start in Fall 2008. We are currently accepting applications. On-campus dates for the upcoming cohort are:
