About the Program:
Master of Public Health (MPH) degree

The Master of Public Health (MPH) is the basic professional degree offered by the School of Public Health. In many jurisdictions it is required by statute for public health professionals working in certain classifications. It is the oldest degree specifically identified with public health training. The MPH is particularly appropriate for individuals who plan to work in federal, state, or local health agencies, and for individuals who want to work in international health organizations. The degree is also highly suitable for individuals who envision public or private sector careers in policy areas such as environmental health, occupational health, disease prevention and control, injury prevention, or substance abuse.
