Is It for You?

The Executive Master’s Program in Health Management and Policy is for professionals who wish to remain employed while obtaining advanced, masters-level training to advance their careers. Many who attend the program are shifting in a new direction, such as from clinical work to management or to health policy.

Over 500 physicians, administrators, public health program directors, policy analysts, dentists, nurses, and other professionals have successfully completed the Executive Master's Program in Health Management and Policy. Graduates currently work in hospitals, health departments, group practices, HMOs, insurance companies, academic medical centers, long-term-care facilities, home care agencies, pharmaceutical companies, peer review organizations, federal and state government agencies, consulting firms, and other organizations serving the community.

Because participants in the program must have been employed in a responsible position for at least three years prior to enrollment, the age range and level of experience found in a typical Executive Master’s class are higher than those of typical on-campus classes.
