Master of Science in Health Services Research (MS- HSR)
The Master of Science in Health Services Research degree is designed to provide intensive coursework and experience in health services research methods and analysis, allowing graduates to take positions with a broad array of public and private organizations engaged in health services and health policy research. The MS-HSR degree is also appropriate for those who are interested in pursuing a PhD in health services research or health policy. MS applicants are required to have at least a year's worth of social science research experience.
We have designed our curriculum around a set of core competencies that define professional excellence in health management and policy. The competency base defines professional skills that we expect our students to have when they leave the program. The competencies are found in our Competency Model which is updated periodically and based on research, the knowledge base for these fields and on-going feedback from professionals in the field.
