CurriculumThe curriculum in the IH-HSAT and EH/IH-HSAT programs includes the following components: 1 - Core EHS courses. These courses are taken by most MS and MPH students in the Environmental Health Sciences Department. They include the following: Principles of Physiology, Principles of Toxicology, Principles of Exposure Assessment, Principles of Risk Assessment, Occupational and Environmental Disease, Biostatistics, and Epidemiology. See descriptions of the core courses in EHS 2 - Specialty requirements. These courses are taken by IH and IH-HSAT students. They include Industrial Hygiene, Evaluation of Chemical Hazards, Chemical Exposure Laboratory, Industrial Ventilation, Physical Hazards, Upper Limb Disorders, Occupational Safety Engineering, OH Aspects Industrial Processes, Principles Radiological Health, International Environmental Management System Standards, Occupational Law, Genes in the Environment, 40 hour off-site HAZWOPER Training, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Impact Assessment, Hazardous Waste, Environmental Management of Hazardous Substances, Research, and Masters Thesis.
