EHS507 Principles of Exposure Assessment

Description: This course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to assess exposure to environmental agents. Topics include the selection of study populations; the conditions under which people or other target species could be exposed; identification and quantification of exposure pathways; the design of exposure assessment strategies; integration of exposure and population information; and the evaluation of historical (exposure reconstruction), current and prospective exposures. The course focuses on occupational and environmental settings and includes chemical, biological (bacteria, fungi, pathogen) and physical agents that may be air-, water-, food- or vector-borne.
