Description: Reviews links between health conditions and socioeconomic development in low-income countries; trends in health indicators; determinants of health, including medical services, income, education, nutrition, fertility, environmental conditions, etc; effects of health changes on the economy. Prior or concurrent election of BIOSTAT 523 or equivalent is recommended.
