Health administration and policy decisions are often made in the absence of any scientific basis. This failing partially occurs because "administrative data" is often considered inaccurate or otherwise unusable. However, there are now new technologies available to improve assessment across multiple health care sectors, which may provide usable decision-making tools.

The webinar presentation will describe the development of a universal assessment system - interRAI - for elderly, disabled, and mentally ill individuals that is gaining acceptance around the world as an international standard of care.
