Evaluating Your Results

After you have completed your search for answers, you need to evaluate your results.  Here are some questions that you should ask yourself:

  • Currency: How current is the information? Are you getting it too often or not enough?
  • Content: Is the information accurate? Are you getting the type of information that you expected?
  • Time commitment: Is the amount of maintenance time on target? Are you getting a good return on your investment?

You may find that your strategy is working for you now. Over time, you might need different content or currency for the information that you are receiving. Remember to periodically assess whether your strategy for staying informed is still meeting your needs. If not, you should review again the section on strategies and resources for keeping informed.
