Kids Count web siteKids Count provides access to four databases containing statistics on children’s well-being. Databases cover data on the state-level, from the Census, conditions prior to birth, and community-level information. All databases provide (or will soon provide) access to customizable profiles, rankings, and raw data. Some also provide maps and/or graphs.

Databases include:

  • Kids Count State-Level Data: Data from the states on 75 measures of child well-being including income and poverty, education and disability.
  • Kids Count Census Data Online: Similar to the State-Level database except the data is taken from the national census.
  • Right Start Data Online: Statistics on conditions prior to a child’s birth, newborn health status at birth, and maternal characteristics.
