Michigan eLibrary web siteThe Michigan eLibrary (MeL) is a collection of online resources freely available to all residents of the state of Michigan. MeL is primarily useful for its collection of bibliographic databases with links to the full text of professional, scholarly, and popular articles. It also provides access to NetLibrary, a large collection of electronic books.

Interdisciplinary Databases

InfoTrac OneFile
A broad, interdisciplinary database containing professional and scholarly articles, as well as many articles from newsletters, newspapers, and smaller publications.

WilsonSelectPlus
Another broad, interdisciplinary database that contains many popular press and trade industry articles, as well as professional and scholarly articles.

Expanded Academic ASAP
Focused more on the professional and scholarly literature, this interdisciplinary database also covers newsletters and the popular press.

Health Databases

CINAHL
The premier nursing database, CINAHL also contains many articles of interest to health educators and planners. Although not primarily a full text database, you can choose to limit your search to full text articles available through the Michigan eLibrary.

Health Reference Center Academic
A consumer-oriented health information database containing topic overviews, book excerpts, pamphlets, definitions, and full text articles.

MEDLINE
An alternative to searching PubMed, this interface to the Medline database allows you to limit your search to full text articles available through the Michigan eLibrary.

Business and Legal Databases

General BusinessFile ASAP
Contains the full text of articles in the business, marketing, trade, and popular literature.

LegalTrac
Contains the full text of approximately 875 titles including major law reviews, legal newspapers, bar association journals and international legal journals.
