Creating a Title SlideA Blank Presentation lets you develop the presentation style to suit your needs. Should you prefer, pre-designed templates (from Design Templates) and standardized outlines (from AutoContent Wizard…) are available. After clicking on Blank Presentation, the blank slide that appears will have the Title Slide layout applied. The right-hand pane should now say Slide Layout [1] at the very top and will show the various basic layouts you can apply to each slide [2]. These are guides as to how the text and images will be arranged on each of your slides. When you click on a layout that you would like to use, PowerPoint applies that layout to the current slide displayed in the center pane. The Title Slide layout includes a title box and a subtitle box. You should use this title slide for the title of your presentation, as well as other relevant information, such as your name, title, and affiliation. You also may include the date of your presentation as well as information on where you are presenting, such as the name of the conference or course.
