Customizing BackgroundsClean and simple is best. Use additional colors or fill effects to emphasize a specific point in your presentation. Overemphasis or too many special effects distracts the audience from what you are trying to share. You are able to change the background of your slides, using a single color, a gradient or pattern, or even a photograph. This can be done by clicking the Format drop-down menu and selecting Background. To select a color, click on the drop-down menu and choose More Colors… [1]. Under the Standard tab, you may select from a specific pallet of colors [2]. Under the Custom tab, you can choose any color you want. After choosing a color, click the OK button and then choose Apply or Apply to All. To select a color gradient, pattern, or background photo, choose Fill Effects from the drop-down menu. There is a tab for each of the options.
