Adding Slides with Images

Consider the size of any objects (table, charts, clip art, etc.) including.  Use this rule of thumb—print the slide as a slide, place it on the ground, stand over the top of the slide, if you can clearly read it then your audience will also be able to read it.

You can also create slides which include images. Add a new slide and choose the Title and Content slide layout from the Apply Slide Layout button in the left-hand pane [1].  Your new slide will now include a title box and a box for images and other content.

The center of this box will contain a menu of choices which includes six icons with options of the type of content to add: a table, a chart, clip art, a picture, an organizational chart, or a media clip.  Holding your cursor over each icon will cause the name of the icon to appear. Choose the Clip Art icon [2] .

You will now be able to search Microsoft’s gallery of clip art.  Search on a general term, such as “exercise”, to locate images that you may use [1].   When you find an acceptable image, click on that image and then choose OK.  Your image will now appear in the center of your slide.

selecting an image

You can move your image to another location on your slide by simply clicking on the center of the images and dragging.  You may resize your image by first clicking on the center of the image in order to activate it, then clicking on one of the small circles on the perimeter of the picture and dragging to the desired size [1].
