Using the Slide Master
Try not to use more than three or four colors. Remember, white is a color.
If you would like to create your own design for your PowerPoint slides, you can use the Slide Master. The Slide Master allows you to make global changes to all slides in your presentation. Every change you make to the Slide Master, such as inserting a photo or changing a font, will be applied to each of your slides. Editing the style on the Slide Master provides consistency throughout your presentation.
To access the Slide Master, click the View drop-down menu and select Master, then Slide Master [1].
Once you are in the Slide Master, you can customize your fonts, background, and bullet styles. You may also want to insert an image, such as a logo or seal, which will appear on all of your slides. You may insert an image by clicking the Insert drop-down menu and selecting Picture. Next you need to choose whether you are inserting an image from clip art or a file that you have saved on your computer [1].
Leaving the Slide Master
When you are finished setting the Slide Master, click the View drop-down menu select Normal. You can always return to the Slide Master to make additional changes.
