Insert Function

The full list of Excel functions is available through the Insert Function dialog box.  To open the dialog box click on the Insert drop-down menu and select Function [1].  A second method is to click on the function button   to the left of the Formula Bar [2].

The resulting Insert Function dialog box provides an option for searching a function or for selecting one from 11 categories (Most recently used, All, Financial, Date & Time, Math & Trig, Statistical, Lookup & Reference, Database, Text, Logical, and Information).
