Specifying Combinations

Clicking elsewhere on the spreadsheet will result in undesired information being added to the function and cause calculation problems.
Combinations of individual cells and cell ranges can be selected for use within a function. These cell references can be typed in using commas and colons as appropriate. Or by using the cursor to highlight the desired cells and ranges.
For example: =SUM(C2,C5:C7,C9) uses
a combination of individual cells (C3 and C9) with a range
of cells (C5:C7).
