Finding Grey Literature
The Grey Literature Report is a bimonthly publication of The New York Academy of Medicine Library that alerts readers to new grey literature publications in public health.
When you begin your search for grey literature, think of agencies, organizations, and associations that might produce the information you are looking for and check their respective websites. Some directories which may help you include:
- Public Health Organizations
- Public Health Associations
- Public Health Schools
- U.S. Government Departments and Agencies
- Google Directory of Health Organizations
- Grey Literature Producing Organizations
- GreyNet: Grey Literature Network Service
Large Internet search engines are extremely valuable when searching the grey literature. Most of what is published on the Internet can be classified as grey literature. [See also the tutorial on Searching the Internet]
