CDC Recommends
CDC Recommends is a searchable database of documents containing CDC recommendations on a variety of health, prevention, and public health practice issues.

National Guideline Clearinghouse
Sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), this website provides clinical practice guidelines of systematically developed statements with recommendations, strategies, and other information that assists health care providers in making appropriate health care decisions. The guidelines are produced by a formally recognized society, organization, or agency and have been developed, reviewed or revised within the last five years.

Guide to Clinical Preventive Services
The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) was convened by the Public Health Service to rigorously evaluate clinical research in order to assess the merits of preventive measures, including screening tests, counseling, immunizations, and preventive medications.

MMWR Recommendations and Reports
The MMWR Recommendations and Reports contain in-depth articles that relay policy statements for prevention and treatment on all areas in CDC's scope of responsibility (e.g., recommendations from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices).

Public Health Agency of Canada Guidelines
Provided to support Canada's disease prevention and control efforts, topics include laboratory safety, infectious diseases, vaccinations, and more.

From the Center for Health Improvement, a non-profit organization, Health Policy Guide provides evidence-based, peer-reviewed policy guidance and resources to support advocacy and decision-making at the state and local levels.

An index to clinical guidelines which currently holds details of over 1500 UK national guidelines with links to downloadable versions of the guidelines. It is updated on a weekly basis.

Model Practices

Model Practices Database
From NACCHO, the Model Practice Database is a searchable collection of practices in the areas of Community Health, Environmental Health, and Public Health Infrastructure and Preparedness from state and local health departments across the United States.

Promising Practices Network (PPN)
From the RAND Corporation, PPN features descriptions of evaluated programs that improve outcomes for children. Programs can be viewed by outcome area, indicator, topic, and evidence level.

Community Toolbox
One of the fundamental elements of evidence-based public health is identifying scientific evidence for policy and decision-making.  This site is a treasure trove of information for understanding health policy development at the community level.
