Databases of Reviews

Cochrane Systematic Reviews
From the Cochrane Collaboration, this online library is a collection of evidence-based medicine databases including Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Database of Abstracts of Reviews and Effectiveness (DARE). Although primarily clinical in focus, it includes many reviews of interest to public health. The review abstracts are available free of charge, but you must pay to read the full review.

Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects (DARE)
DARE contains summaries of systematic reviews which have met specific quality criteria. Included reviews are about the effects of interventions. Each summary also provides a critical commentary on the quality of the review. The database covers a broad range of health and social care topics and can be used for answering questions about the effects of interventions, as well as for developing guidelines and policy making.
