Nominations requested from alumni
August 27, 2002 press release from the University of Michigan School of Public Health

ANN ARBOR--The University of Michigan School of Public Health seeks nominations from its 12,000 alumni for its governing board and its annual Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award. Deadlines are fast approaching, so please act now. 

To nominate a candidate for 2003-2006 Alumni Society Board of Governors:
Please send an e-mail to Cindi Leacock, Alumni Officer, at cleacock@umich.edu. Your nomination e-mail should include the name of the person you are nominating, their contact information, your name, and your contact information. Deadline for nominations is September 13, 2002. The nominations will be reviewed by the current Alumni Board of Governors at their fall meeting on October 3; a slate of candidates will be finalized at that time. More information about the Alumni Society and its mission.

To nominate a candidate for 2003 Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award:
The Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award was created to enable the Public Health Alumni Society to give recognition and honor to those alumni who have contributed outstanding service to the field of public health and to the University of Michigan School of Public Health. One or more individuals may receive a Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award in a given academic year. Persons may not be nominated posthumously for this award.
