The application for a PEAK Fellowship includes two parts: one from the proposed fellow (the individual portion) and one from that individual’s home organization (the organizational portion).

The individual portion requires:

  • a fellowship plan identifying the skills the candidate wishes to develop during her/his training and how these skills will help build his or her home organization’s capacity;
  • a proposal for an applied project that will use these skills upon the fellow’s return to his or her home organization;
  • a resume (in English) listing the candidate’s relevant professional and academic experience; and
  • a copy of TOEFL scores (if from a non-English speaking country) or reasonable proof of English language proficiency to communicate with staff and submit reports in English.

The organizational portion must include a written commitment to:

  • the fellowship plan;
  • the candidate’s applied project proposal;
  • supporting the candidate (if selected) to the extent possible by paying all or a portion of his or her salary during the two- to four-month placement;
  • releasing the candidate (if selected) from all work-related duties during the two- to four-month placement; and
  • reintegrating the candidate into the organization with expanded responsibilities that take advantage of his or her new skills.

The organization must also provide the following information:

  • organizational chart;
  • promotional materials or technical reports;
  • list of agencies/institutions with which the organization collaborates; and
  • list of funding sources (year and amount).

Please note that each organization may nominate only one candidate per year.
