During their off-site training period, fellows are sometimes able to supplement their professional internship(s) with workshops, courses, study tours, or conferences. Internship examples are provided on the next page. Here we list some of the courses and conferences that PEAK Fellows have attended:

  • MEASURE impact evaluation course/Costa Rica
  • Procura course in donor relations/Mexico
  • Population Fellows Programs Summer Certificate Course in family planning and reproductive health/Ann Arbor, MI
  • University of Michigan graduate courses in survey research, evaluation design, and international population (non-degree track)/Ann Arbor, MI
  • CEDPA courses in institution building and in youth development and reproductive health/Washington, D.C.
  • International AIDS Conference/Spain
  • Advocates for Youth European Study Tour of best practices for youth programming/Europe

Please note that PEAK is designed to support short-term, applied training; it is not a program for degree-seeking candidates. Also note that we are increasingly emphasizing regional trainings and workshops, and are de-emphasizing those in the U.S. and Europe.
