The Population Fellows Programs sponsor a free job-posting listserve, which distributes mid- to senior-level professional job announcements and consultancies in the fields of international family planning, reproductive health, population/demography, and population-environment. A select number of maternal/child health positions are also posted.

The listserve was launched as a career-building service for our program alumni/ae (former Population and Population-Environment Fellows) as well as the alumni/ae of other USAID-sponsored fellowship programs, including Population Leadership Fellows and Child Survival Fellows. It is now freely available to motivated job-seekers around the world. The listserve currently e-mails its job announcements to more than 300 subscribers.

Instructions for subscribing, sending job postings, and other commonly performed operations are available below. More sophisticated operations available to listserve members (such as viewing archived postings and indicating whether you wish to receive announcements as they are posted or in a combined daily e-mail) are available on the ITD Web site.

Common operations that may be performed by e-mail include:

• subscribing to the listserve
• unsubscribing
• changing your e-mail address
• sending job announcements for us to post

Subscribing

To begin receiving professional (non-fellowship) job postings by e-mail, you must subscribe to the listserve. To do this:

• Send an e-mail to: pfps-jobs-REQUEST@umich.edu
• Type the following in the subject line: SUBSCRIBE FIRSTNAME_LASTNAME
  Please use your first and last names and note the underscore.

 
Unsubscribing

To stop receiving job postings, you must unsubscribe. To do this:

• Send an e-mail to: pfps-jobs-REQUEST@umich.edu
• Type UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line

Changing your E-mail Address

To change your e-mail address:

• Send an e-mail from the account you're chaning from (your old account) to:
  pfps-jobs-REQUEST@umich.edu
• Type the following as the body of the message: SET EMAIL=[insert your new e-mail address here, without the brackets]

You will receive confirmation by return mail. Please do this while you have access to your old account.

Sending Job Announcements

Please send descriptions of your mid- to senior-level professional vacancies and consultancies to: pop.postings@umich.edu.

This is a free service to employers; however, we determine whether postings are appropriate for our listserve subscribers.
