• Improve the visibility in the school, university, and nationally of the research and teaching strength of SPH faculty in the area of Women's Health.
• Facilitate communication across departments about interested faculty members research and support individual and joint research inititatives.
• Facilitate interaction with and disseminate information about MIWH activities especially in their efforts to develop a Women's Health Scientist Training Program.
• Facilitate coordination of existing curricula in Women's Health across departments and coordinate the development of new courses.
• Enable School of Public Health students to take advantage of the opportunity to simultaneously obtain a Certificate in Women's Studies as part of their degree program.
• Enhance our ability to recruit students to the school.
