REQUIREMENTS FOR A
CERTIFICATE IN WOMEN'S STUDIES/WOMEN'S HEALTH
The Women's Studies Program at the University of Michigan offers a certificate program which any student enrolled in the School of Public Health is eligible to receive. The requirements for receiving a certificate are the following:
- A total of 15 credit hours are required.
- WS 530: Theories of Feminism (3 credits).
- One of three research methods courses (3 credits):
- WS 601: Approaches to Feminist Scholarship in the Humanities.
- WS 602: Approaches to Feminist Scholarship in the Social Sciences.
- WS 603: Feminist Scholarship of Women of Color.
- Advanced research or an internship related to women or gender.
- Three courses on Women's Health with one course outside your main discipline.
