This special collection has over 25 file cabinets of articles, reports and pamphlets on the socio-economic factors of health care in the United States from ~1950 to 1994. Dissertations and Theses

The Public Health Library collects the dissertations and theses of UM School of Public Health degree recipients. These are cataloged in MCAT on MIRLYN and are stored in the University's Buhr Remote Shelving Facility. They may be ordered from Buhr and usually arrive in the Library within two working days. See Buhr Requests for more information on ordering dissertations and other items from Buhr.

The Public Health Library currently subscribes to over 430 journals and also has volumes of some journals which have ceased publication, or to which it no longer subscribes in its collection. All bound journals are shelved separately from the book collection, in the Journal Collection at the east end of the Library in call number order. Unbound journals are kept on the Current Journal shelves near the entrance of the library. Ask Library Staff for assistance locating journals.
