Sympodium Interactive Display: Project Your Desktop and Use It Dynamically
By Jason Nargis
Public Health Library & Informatics is pleased to announce the availability of the new Sympodium ID250 interactive pen display. Connecting a computer and a projector to the Sympodium allows you to display your desktop on a large screen and make and save notes in digital ink. The system allows annotations to be made over documents, PowerPoint slides, websites, moving video, and more. Changes can be easily saved in many file formats as a fixed file or as a moving video. This can be a great tool for presenting lecture notes or tutorials for review and demonstration purposes.
The Sympodium is located in the amphitheater of SPH II, but is easily portable and can be reserved for classroom use.
The interface and software of the Sympodium function in the same way as the SMART Board interactive whiteboard already in use in 3001 SPH I. A video tutorial explaining the SMART Board is available on the PHLI website.
If you have any questions or want to schedule a demonstration for the Sympodium or Smartboard, please contact Vic Divecha, E-Learning Specialist, at rdivecha@umich.edu or 734-763-4355.
