E-learning website and blog
The website for the retreat has been developed using the new mblog service offered by the University Library in partnership with ITCS and the Bentley Historical Library.

website and blog.
By creating the website as a blog (a popular, interactive forum for communication on the web), faculty are encouraged to actively participate in an online discussion about distance education and e-learning. The discussion can take the form of shared experiences with e-learning technologies, opinions about strategic or preferred directions for SPH in this area, or questions about resources and services. In addition to the blog, the website includes the schedule and program for the retreat. You can visit the e-learning website and participate in the discussion by posting comments at http://mblog.lib.umich.edu/elearning/. The website will continue to be available after the retreat for ongoing discussion and for participation by faculty unable to attend the retreat in person.
Definition: A blog, or weblog, is a web-based publication consisting primarily of periodic articles (normally in reverse chronological order). Most blogs allow users to post comments on each article.
More information about the mblog service in general, may be obtained at the following web address: http://www.lib.umich.edu/help/mblog/service_faq.html#support.
