Welcome to the website of the UM Public Health Students of African Descent!
Public Health Students of African Descent (PHSAD) is a student-run organization that was founded within the School of Public Health over 21 years ago. PHSAD continually strives to foster a healthy and wholesome community for African and African-American students, to fully engage its members and surrounding community, and to provide a platform for intellectual exchange on minority health issues.
Our work has been multifaceted; from parties to charity walks, professional development activities to potlucks, social activism to the minority health conference and more.
If you are a current student, faculty member, or community member please feel free to attend a meeting or an event. If you are a prospective student please feel free to contact us with questions or concerns. If there is a project for which you would like to solicit our help, please let us know.
PHSAD is an ever-growing and changing collective. With your help and participation we can continue to be a positive contributor to the world of public health. Again, welcome and we hope to hear from you soon! |
