Training and Education

The Prevention Research Center of Michigan provides training opportunities for students, community partners, public health practitioners and youth in Michigan.  In addition to developing training workshops and courses internally, the PRC/MI collaborates with several programs to meet the training goals and objectives of the Center and make training resources more accessible to the communities served.

The PRC/MI has provided training and internships for 4 post-doctoral scholars, 14 doctoral students, 72 masters students, 17 undergraduates, and 50 high school students. Many trainees have gone on to careers in public health practice and academic settings.
