The Queer Public Health Alliance Against Bigotry (Q-PHAAB) is a group comprised mainly of public health students interested in conducting social as well as educational activities. The group membership is open to all members of the SPH community regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

The group has the following goals:

1) To promote a comfortable, positive, and non-homophobic atmosphere in the School of Public Health so that gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students, faculty, and staff feel safe to learn and work.

2) To act as a social outlet for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students, faculty, and staff at the School of Public Health.

3) To conduct educational activities at the School of Public Health (possibly in conjunction with other gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender groups on campus) that focus on health issues specific to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons.

4) To network with other gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender groups on campus.
