Leading this program is Ana V. Diez Roux, M.D., Ph.D., Professor of Epidemiology and Director, Center for Social Epidemiology and Population Health; and three co-directors: James S. House, Ph.D., Professor of Sociology and Public Policy and Research Professor, Institute for Social Research; Mark L. Wilson, Sc.M., Sc.D.,, Professor of Epidemiology and Professor of Ecologyand Evolutionary Biology , and Jeffrey Morenoff, Ph.D.

The four directors and the fifteen steering committee members, all faculty at the University of Michigan have published extensively on the core topics of the Health & Society Scholars Program. An additional 70 faculty members are committed to providing research opportunities and mentoring.
