  • Last November, a constitutional amendment to ban affirmative action in public university admissions and hiring practices (Proposal 2) was on the ballot in Michigan. SEP Director Richard Lichtenstein wrote this op-ed article describing how passage of Prop 2 would widen health disparities. Unfortunately, Prop 2 passed.

  • The University of Michigan publishes The Promise of Diversity newsletter to highlight effective diversity programs on campus. An article featuring the SEP appeared in the Newsletter in the fall of 2007.
